He would pretend to be a forest spirit and wait for the fairies to show up. In the day they would flutter around with their beautiful wings and buzzing sounds. But his favorite was to head out in the evening and wait for the other ones with lights. He imagined they were stringing up lights for a party and thought "one day I'll be invited".
