51, As far as bbp and cc goes, just check around your local area for clinics, man. Some places offer classes for that stuff. I don't know how much your age with affect your ability to get into those classes but it wouldn't hurt to check it out. Some things can be found in libraries. You can do some researching on the internet BUT what you find on the internet is NOT gospel!!! Remember that this is something that you can't learn over night and especially over the internet.

Bullshit!! This kid respectfully asked a valid question and is seeking valueable information...and for that he was called ignorant! Its no wonder people think the people on this forum are assholes...its comments like that that keep people from asking intelligent questions... By what right do you have the nerve to call someone ignorant? Personally I would be much more concerned if the kid were asking where he could by a "gun" or ink... We all need to be a bit more tolerant... I get emails almost daily from people who read this forum but are afraid to comment or ask questions because of these kinds of remarks and it makes me sick. Were you born with the knowledge the kid was seeking?

I agree with TAz. 51 has earned his spot in the family of this forum. He's a damn good kid. He took some shit when he first started posting, but he kept coming back. This was a completely valid question that he had. There is nothing wrong with telling someone about the BBP and Cross-contam. stuff. It's good information, and I bet there are some people that post on here that could use a refresher. Pull your head out of your ass first before you rip someone's ass for asking a valid question.

Its remarks like that that damage this site much more than any off subject banter between regulars...this is the kind of shit the scratchers always yell about and I have to admit they have a point.When a person can't ask a simple question without being ridiculed it brings everyone of us that devote time to this forum down to the level of asshole that people are complaining about...it hurts the integrity of an otherwise great forum...now I agree that there are some posters that just beg to be slammed but they are the exception rather than the rule. oh trust me that will deffinetly not get me down, I did take j-werks advice and I did start to look up places to learn about the stuff on the internet, I am trying to learn as much as possible so I can know something when I get an apprenticeship instead of being able to draw, also, taz is there any other things that I should work on in my drawings, ex:shading, lines, anything like that 51

my suggestions: 1) go to a community college. find a class on microbiology or public health or something like that. Enroll in the class, or sit in. buy the textbooks, read them, do the homework. be better than everyone else in the class because you have to. 2) Be patient!!! 3) get off the internet. It's full of assholes, people who talk too much, and people who think they know everything like me. You will never reach your goals in life by spending hours a day in front of a computer. You're all right. 51, please accept my appologies. I'm ashamed of myself and I overstepped my boundries very badly. Being called ignorant for just trying to inform yourself about something so important is kind of backwards. I didn't call you ignorant, but defending the person who did is just as bad...if not worse. If I had the responsibility and drive to learn the things that really mattered in this industry, I wouldn't have gone through what I have. You really are getting yourself off to a killer start by getting as much information as you can right now. Walking in blind and naive is just a good way to fuck up your future. One more thing I have to agree somewhat with WO...although this forum is a great place to get IDEAS...the internet in general is NOT the be all end all of information ...I would hazard to guess that 50-80% of the information to be gleaned on the internet is either colored by personal bias,misadventure or is downright false... I have read some pretty far fetched things about tattooing by so called "experts" on the net that were so far off the mark of reality it was almost funny..For instance on a popular how its done site the writer said that we use "hollow" needles and the machine"injects" the pigment into the skin....the almost is because some people read this crap that some sites call "fact" and believe every word simply because its in print and on the net...I'm just sayin take it all in and use common sense to filter it all...even info on this forum!
