Tattoo Conventions

Hi, Could someone please let me know if getting a tattoo at a convention would work out cheaper or more expensive than having one done in a shop? Thanks!!
Just to let you know, I only posted this once, I dont know why its appeared 4 times. Sorry
Your probably going to pay more at a convention because the artist has to pay for the booth, hotel room, and transportation to the event..But it's exciting getting tattooed at a convention..although it can get somewhat uncomfortable being tattooed out on the floor with everyone walking by,and watching you. I checked out the NYC Convention, and it's really congested in Roseland Ballroom...i wouldn't want to get tattooed in there..Most conventions are in Hotel's,or convention centers where there's more room in the isles to walk.
Hey, you will probably pay more. joetat, I didnt see you at the show, darn. It woulda been fun to meet up...
It sort of depends how you look at it too. Say you live over here on the east coast with us, and you come out to the Paradise Tattoo Gathering and get tattooed by one of our artists from California, or even overseas. While they might charge more hourly than they do at home, you have the great advantage of getting them close by so you save on your travel costs! So I'd definitely make efforts to get tattooed by people who may not generally be in your area!
I was at the convention Saturday for a little over an hour..What booth were you at?That convention is just lame anymore...it seems like they have the same artists every year, and the setup in there is just odd for a convention. I hope to make the tattoo gathering in September though;i'm sure it will be a much better show.
