Taking better photos of my work

2 messages · last activity 2/25/2011

I am wondering if there is anyone on here that could give me some helpful tips and tricks on getting better pics of my work. The pictures I take never get close to what the actual tattoo looks like and I'm really tired of it. I am currently shooting with a Nikon D3000. HELP
Matt, Mario Rosenau - Photography for Tattooers "Shoot it Right" DVD has been produced. http://tattoogathering.com/tattoo-convention-events.html He may be coming this year to lecture. Many of the artists here on tattoonow.com take their own photos and will be attending Paradise Tattoo Gathering in MA September 2011. A picture is worth 1,000 words but nothing is better than a one on one with the people whose photos you may admire. Try a google search for Photo tips.or something like that. From what I saw .. if your from NE.... you should try natural light whenever possible. 2¢ cents, the UPLOADER PS I think every one should get healed photos when clients comeback to your shops. Fresh photos look best of course but sometimes 2-3 year old tattoo touchup or addons bring tears to my eyes.
