Does any one know where I can find this so called synthetic skin?
I heard it's the best way to learn how to tattoo without massacring your friends. I would also like to know what else can I use to replicate the skin. I heard using dead chicken works.

its called "ink it" skin....i bought some of it for the apprentices at our shop and it sucks bbaawwlls. go through an apprentice ship at a shop man and learn on humans
Thanks a lot. I'm cool with being somebody's bitch though. I'm also poor, I don't have $3000 laying around. Plus I dont like to trace and do all that outline crap. I got a gift and one day the whole world will know my name but for now I'll just practice.
WOW all that out line crap, and tracing. Well IM certain your little gift will get you far...

Joe! Your so kind! I thought for sure this youn un was gonna get a woopin!
or, err, a cyber-whoopion.
I checked out your artists and I'm not far behind on the skills. If you guys are good artists then that must mean I'm up there too. And your right I am young but with a future a head of me. Good thing i got time to learn and only get better.
Kid you have a lot to learn. You have not done enough growing in the tattoo field to compare your self to Joe Capobianco. Do an apprenticeship and learn how to do your artwork on skin, real skin. Its not the same as a pen or pencil. Being someone's bitch is just putting in your dues; all the greats have done it, so why do you think you should not. Your attitude will not get you far if it does not change.
Put your money where your mouth is!!!!!!!
I would love to see some pics that show your skills! Its easy to talk the talk on the computer!
sheesh.
JR.--
MUCH PROPS FOR WANTING TO TATTOO ON "INK IT" AND NOT F-ING UP ON PEOPLE. AND MUCH PROPS FOR HAVING THE FAITH TO KNOW THAT ONE DAY EVERYONE WILL NO YOUR NAME. YOUR GOING TO NEED IT IN THIS BUSINESS.
HOWERVER A COUPLE OF THINGS BEFORE YOU RUN-OFF AT THE MOUTH:
1. BEING AN APPRENTIES AND BEING AROUND GOOD ARTIST WILL DO YOU MORE GOOD THEN "INKING IT" BY YOURSELF.
2. YOU SHOULD ONLY "HOPE" ONE DAY YOU ARE ANYTHING LIKE MR. JOE CAPOBIANCO!!!! YOU MAY NEVER MEET A TATTOO ARTIST WHO CARES MORE ABOUT HIS CLIENTS, HIS SHOP, HIS FELLOW ARTISTS, THE TATTOO INDUSTRY AND OF COURSE, NEW ARTISTS LEARNING THE ART OF THAT "TRACING AND OUTLINING CRAP"
I DO WISH YOU ALL THE BEST, AND I HOPE TO SEE SOME OF YOU WORK SOME OF YOUR WORK!
DENISE
P.S. JOE- I HAVE TO AGREE WITH GABE, IT MIGHT NOT BE AS MUCH FUN TO READ YOUR ENTRIES IF YOU KEEP YOUR COOL! HAHAHA
Allright,
I think this is a fake post designed to get eveyone worked up. I don't believe Junior is a tattoo artist or apprentice.
Look, it only takes opening ANY tattoo magazine to know who Joe Capobianco is, and it takes two minutes on ebay to find "ink it" pads.
Junior,
If your for real, ignorance and a cocky attitude are not a winning combination in this field. The tattoo world is very small and you will reap what you sew.
...I can see very few repeat customers in your future.
Say...why don't you give us a web address where we can check out your badass art?
Well your wrong this isnt a fake post i wrote it to get peoples opinion but your right about one thing i'm not an apprentice. and to respond to some other things.. I know im not as good as joe, i said that i think i will be, i know i have a lot to learn but i think im better than alot of other people out there. Every one keeps talking about wanting to see some of my work, well i havent took too many pictures but i have a few and here they are, www.picturetrail.com/tattoo5 , I know someones bound to talk shit but its all good cuz im open to constructive critisism so lay it on me.
WOW!!! You have more to learn than you can possibly imagine. If I were you, and I am not thank god!! I would stop trying to tattoo people and realy concentrate on your drawing skills. There are endless refrences in classes and books that will help you. But the most important thing is to continue to draw as much as possible. If your art is anything close to the mess you have made on these people skin, you have no possible reason to be even slightly cocky. If you already think that you could be better than tattoo artist that are setting the standard for the industry, than you are a lost cause. Until you realize that you suck and that you know nothing, (the best artist tell themselves this everyday) you will never be able to learn anything. Good luck.
If those are really your tattoos, man, you gotta quit ,cause your fucking people up. Those three tattoos are possibly the worst tattoos I have ever seen. I encourage all who read this to check out Junior's work and post your opinions...afterall, he's asking you to, plus it's good for a laugh.
OK JR! STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
not far behind on skills?!
homeboy youve got no idea !its cool that you have drive your going to need every bit of that to get better.but i looked at your pictures and frankly your really bad ,stop and practice your skills on inkit and stop hacking up your boys trust me it will come back to haunt you if you ever get better.your lines are not crisp your shading is choppy and you cant pollish a terd .you have to start of with a great design and see it through.work it out on paper first not on the skin.leave the skin to the pros!this is not an industry were you can afford to make mistakes .your changing someones skin for life dont take that lightly.theres nothing worse or more disrespectful then to compare your skills to someone whos been in the buisness longer then youve been drawing and especially if you suck.but youre going to find that out the hard way.so good luck on your adventure later ,julio rodriguez hopegallerytattoo.com

Hello All,
Don't spend lots of money on crappy synthetic skin...it's fake, and overpriced. I suggest you go to a local butcher shop, or farm, and ask for pigs' skin (FREE...in many cases)...it's the closest to human skin, and it's the real thing. Just make sure to wash the skin, and treat it as if you would human skin prior to tattooing. Good luck, and save yourself some $$$. :)
Next tattoo wars on TLC (if they ever come back on).....JR. vs. Joe Capobianco!!! hahahaha...someone needs to break out the baby powder and give this youngin' an ass whoppin. I know i would if he put garbage on me similar to those three abortions he put on his waterhead friends. hey are you getting the point yet that you need to just stop? how thats for constuctive criticism jr?
My God if someone put a tattoo like those on me I'd stick the machine in his eyes. Bet he'd still be arrogant enough to think he could do it blind!
im not a tattoo artist and never will be, but i did read these posts and checked out 'jr's work. i think alot of people on this post should mind their business. yes, he does have alot to learn but that doesnt mean his work is bad, because it was a pretty decent job. i would not be able to do what hes done (not saying its perfect). if someone is to bash on his work, atleast make it constructive. he came here probably not looking to be attacked by people online. yeah, he did have an unnecassary attitude in his one post, but this isnt highschool and you dont have to gang up on him. who are any of you to judge him and put him down about his dream? its HIS dream, and i think thats a good thing. if he wants to be as good as joe then good for him and i wish him the best of luck, because its obvious that its something he enjoys doing. if you have something nasty to say you should keep it to yourself, because it wont get you any where, and people should be more supportive of eachother.
people are just rude now, and that bugs me. sorry.
