Just thought I would share the news with everyone that I will be slinging some ink into some poultry products tonight.... Taking that first leap!!! ....do chickens scream?
make sure you lick them before you start......for good luck
AFTER Ant has sex with them
Oh...They usually only scream if boofy is tattooing them!
Round 1 goes to the dead bird! HAHAHA! OH MY GOD!!! It was a massacre!!...So terrible!!! Nutty made me take a picture....HAHAHA!!! Oh God....can't stop laughing!!!
Keep it up and good luck. POST PICTURES!!
I am not to proud to present you with my first "Chicken Tattoo." I definitely after this experiance have a new found respect for tattoo artists and now know exactly what they mean by "stretching the skin!"...Holy hell!!! SO, wilthout further adieu..... JEESUS!!!
This isn't another form of Necro-beastiality is it? .... side hurts so bad....the shear size!
holy moses!
Whoah...um..good job..?
HAHA....That was the most unsincere "Good Job" I have ever recieved in my life!.... I know it sucks, A LOT. But I guess you have to have a sense of humor about these things.... A LOT of humor. Dear God I am never going to live this one down.... It's all good though...at least I'm not out tattooing minors!
Thank god you arent tattooing minors! As you know, practice makes perfect. And kudos for not putting this on your leg, or even worse, a friends leg!
I have however sent out sympathy cards to the family of the chicken and the hundreds and thousands of workers in chicken farms....roflmao!
Hmm.... I've seen worse.
No..it was very sincere. It was for the chicken. I remember the first time I played live. No good job for me.
Well, thank you for the honest sincerity. :) Talk about a humbling experience! Like I said before, COMPLETELY new respect for the art.... J
i think you will prefer grapefruits....no bird flu.
And actually quite a good gauge for seeing if your overworking the area. As im sure your teacher has allready informed you.
Oh yeah, without a doubt I over worked the Hell out of that thing! It was a pure bitch trying to stretch that damned thing. I guess it wouldn't hurt to rotate between the two since you r really can't stretch grapefruit. lol...curious though, what's anyones opinion on the fake skin?...pros/cons?....PS. Thanks guys/gays for having a sense of humor about this. :)
Oh my Mary Mother died!!! I am sooooooooooo sorry!!! I ment guys and gals!!!! I think I licked the chicken too much! lol....Christ, what a day!
....That didn't exactly sound right either....
the fake skin is hard to clean...........i tried some of an aprentices
betcha that cheap f'in chicken didnt even tip you j-werk.. lol
....I told him we do touch ups for chicken nuggets and he flipped me the bird..... lol sooooo lame!!!
Damn man! Good thing you didn't try the learn it yourself route. Thanks for the ego boost. But from one apprentice to another, good luck man! Really does give you some respect for those ole farts once you realize how different the tattoo medium is from others.
HOLY HELL!!! I've been gone for a week or whatever and theres TATTOOED CHICKENS on this forum now!?!? What in the name of Sam Hill is going on around here!?!?
Its ok Mario...I usually keep him in the closet but I was feelin bad for him and left him out that night...GOD!!!! Not only did he mutilate a poor defenseless chicken, a person who has never even been remotely connected to tattooing ws allowed to touch MY MACHINES!!!...Now i just need to come up with a fitting punishment...any ideas?...I am thinkin of something in the lines of handcuffs, straight razors and a soldering iron...oh yeah and battery acid...can't forget the battery acid!
betcha the chicken didnt cross the road to get tattooed...lol.. oh i crack myself up. sorry j-werk but you think i didnt miss that double post in here buddy? oh shit its on now you you you chicken inker... like they say if you cant laugh at yourself or some shit like that. youre heading in the right direction just keep on pushing forward and you will persevere. im also looking for a link to a large japanese tattoo book supplier from japan for you. i cannot remeber the link for the life of me. if i dont get it soon ill get it at the nyc tattoo convention.
...Wha... How... ?? I am honestly speechless...
The fake skin is terrible. I found it to be nothing at all like skin, nor did anyone in my shop that let curiousity get the best of them. To be honest nothing is really quite like the real thing, but chicken aint a bad start i guess. Dont be too hard on yourself, your supposed to suck at first. If it was easy we wouldnt make any money now would we? Keep at it and never except "close enough" or "good enough". It can be somethin of a long road, but well worth it when you start doing stuff your really proud of, and your customers are really happy with. Keep us posted on your progress!
Okay, as far as letting the other person get a hold of the machines, that one is NOT on me! He may have ninja'd them when I was on the floor crying at the abomination I created. I seriously do want to thank everyone for their sense of humor in this but I would like to humbly ask Gabe if he would remove the picture from the thread. At the time I thought that it would be amusing to share the experience with everyone since you have all been there and done that at the begining of your careers. I am not to embarrased to raise my hand and say, "Yeah, I made that mess." But at the same time I don't want that crap to be attached to Taz and our shop since we are all one and the same. Thanks again to everyone for being cool about it. You have my respect. Now...Crockett, as far as you go.... it's hide and go double post for you pal! Betcha can't find everyone of'em!!!!
On a serious note.... Is that a cut peice? Like a quarter/breast/etc? I'm thinking it might be easier if you used something like a ham, turkey, or a -full- chicken, Where the skin is more.. well, attached, naturally taut? I can only imagine how much the skin was sliding around on ya. Am I making sense? I know it might be a bit more costly, but it might be worth a shot, trying it. -slinks back into lurker mode-
Ack, Okay, my bad. I see it's a full chicken, not a cut. Going to go hide under a desk somewhere now :)
I'll have you know that my idiot apprentices use only the finest of fowl in their sorry attempts at tattooing ....and are state certified dumpster divers who search for their chickens in only the best dumpsters in the best parts of town!! And yes...they do eat them when they are finished mutilating them(see autoclave recipes!)..TAz Ps And in a dumpster is where their bodies will be found if they EVER pull this shit again!
hehe So.. err... you mean.... it's not normal to ink a chicken for practice? -snicker-
Only when small children aren't available (or they run too fast!)
So saivge...I've noticed you posting lately...welcome to the forum...always nice to see new faces...well new names anyway!... Are you an artist?...Where do ya work? Anyway thanks for the posts my new friend, hope to hear more from ya!!...TAz
-smiles- Heya Taz! I'm not an inkslinger, it's a long story, if you are interested I'll blab it at ya sometime :) -shudder- posting it and hijacking the poultry thread feels so... squishy. And not the good kind of squishy either. I am an artist though.... I've just... been on a long self-imposed shut down, you could say. I'm glad I found the forum here, lurking here has really gone a long way in waking me up from one hell of a hibernation. I'm in New york currently, moving to Connecticut within the next few months. Thank you so much for the welcome :) I really appreciate it... I think you guys might wind up being stuck with me for a while :)
Well thats all good...you are welcome here...I did read your post about the shop you were in and that sucks, but I am happy to see you are comin back at it....believe it or not there are serious artists out there and you can glean quite a bit of information on this forum...so WELCOME and if you have any questions...feel free!!..TAz
Thanks Taz :) You know, it's really nice to wander in here and find such good, down to earth artists who care about what they are putting out there, their peers, and the people who are walking in and out the door. It's pretty daunting, being on the fringes, especially with some of these yahoos out here, with the big ego's and the hey, hey. Really sorry about this Kanji mess you have on your hands, thats just bloody awful. ;/ -s
