hey peeps im just interested to know why is that so many people seem to be quite bitter towards people just starting up tattooing i have just started doing the odd few mainly on fake skin and a couple on my hubby oh and one on myself but surely everyone has to start somewhere and its hard to find a studio that will take anyone on in apprenticeship i will say i wouldnt be going around and calling myself a tattoo artist for many years to come yet lol but ive got to start somewhere dont you think :)
The main reason is that people who buy a tattoo "kit" and start jacking people up are not tattooists.. Most never have set foot in a blood bourne pathogen class and spread disease. reuse tubes without an autoclave. Ect. Ect. Ect. And when someone comes up with hep from a tattoo....its bad in general for the industry. They fail to mention it was done in billy bobs kitchen with a rusty nail.
Rusty nail? oh come on be honest we save those for the indingent! we actually use rust fish hooks! lol oops damit there i go letting trade secrets out.lol

ok pink, listen to bobcat, solid advice in the first few words. bunch of hard ass people out here.why? well its called paying your dues.you will get discouraged at times and want to give up.but if this is truly what you want you will find a way in time.lots and lots to learn infact you should never stop learning.technical questions are a no no here and ya may get ripped for it. so use caution. yes we all have to start somewhere.stick with it keep ears open and learn, and draw your ass off.best of luck.
