I was wondering if anyone knew of any good tattoo shops in Michigan. Also was wondering if anyone knew anything about light touch tattoo shop

I had a tattoo done in Bay City,Mi about 3 years ago called "The Electric Chair". Nice clean shop, not sure if the same artisits are there, but I already had an idea in mind when I went and the guy elaborated and it was AWESOME!!! Thinking of getting another and WOULD go there. I would definatly check out Eternal Tattoos, they have a couple different locations, but they all do Simply AMAZING work. The one everyone would go to for their work was the one in Howell, MI. Thats where I recomend. You couldn't find nicer artists, and they make sure to make you comfortable and the place is very sterile and clean. I give them and A+

By far the best place that i have been to and heard of is suicide kings in bellivlle. I went there for my first one and that was the most comfortable place ive ever been. They even have 2 42 inch plasmas so you can watch something will your gettin it done. Super clean and the people treat you like family not a customer. On a scale of 10 out of 10 it gets an 11.

My friends and I used to get all of our tattoos and peircings done at Aardvark Tattoo in Saint Johns. The artist's name is Tim... he is a little strange, but was fun to joke around with. When we started going to him, he was never busy and was interested in his custormers... then he moved to a new place in a better area, now he is so busy he dosen't take time with people anymore, it's just get em in and out... I don't recommend him anymore

Has anyone heard of Wicked Tattoos in Garden City? I was thinking about checking out that place for getting a tattoo and maybe an apprenticeship, but I wondered if anyone had any info on them, first.

Eternal tattoo is good.. they do some awsome work over there forsure. I have many friends that have got work done from there and all of them were awsome. Magic Touch.. In Utica, MI awsome shop Garth is the owner of the place and does some amazing work. He's the guy I have been going to for years now. Chop Shop.. Utica, MI Rob Weir tattoo's out of the chop shop hands down one of the best tattoo artist in the area. I had a few peices done by Rob.. awsome guy. He actually used to own Magic Touch and worked with Garth. but he moved on to the chop shop and garth took over the old shop with a couple other guys. Last time I booked a appointment with Rob he was backed up almost 2 months.. So if you want to get in there CALL and get an appointment... Ironside Tattoo in Warren, MI is pretty solid. The only artist I know out of there Is Brandon.. He has been doing some very sweet peices. Worth checking out. good luck

Im a one man shop not a factory style.I have all the time in the world for each customer .I do have a large shop for one man but its clean ,nice and fun to be here.I like to harass people and loosin them up alittle. Brandon at ironside tattoo in eastpointe mi. just did shamrocks for my wife and myself and did an awsome job. he is very personable and this being my first he made me aware of everything and made me very comfortable. I'll be going to him for the next one

Agreed with "yabo" I've been to a total of 15 tattoo shops looking for someone with great custom work for my tattoo i've been to all shops around here and the ONLY one i trusted with my tattoos was Chris. That shop is a cozy little shop and the employees make sure to keep it fun and entertaining the whole time. Not to sling shit but after checking out the Ink a Holics MySpace and not only looking at the work displayed but the fact the they say they do piercing and have a picture of a piercing gun (which I thought everyone knew was NOT to be used for piercing) THAT stuff 'tells' me more than the 'recommendations' stated above. People be careful, there are a lot of shops around, check things out carefully before you decide on who to have do your work or whose recommendations you take to heart. Check it out yourself if you even think I'm just talking shit.

how can someone ask for a great artist and anyone's response is the shop is "clean" and has "big TVs". if they're a great artist, you shouldn't need to worry about that bullshit. i think the best are wholeshot tattoo in berkley, jeff zuck in ann arbor, xs in rochester hills, and mark heggie in utica. that's about it, really. other guys aren't "artists" they're "tattooists".
