Ink Fixx Ointment

I noticed in a few postings, mention of A&D ointment, and wondered if it's like Ink Fixx? My artists have all given this to me after all of my tattoos, for the immediate aftercare. Has anyone else used it, and how does it compare to A&D? I noticed a friend seemed to have a reaction to it, he was a black man, got a cross on his forearm with red, and the red was swollen and nasty looking, blistered. I've never had a problem with blistering, and I do have some red in nearly all of my tattoos. Hopefully this can be a rare occurence!
