in bad shape

I recently got tattooed and are havin the worst time with the healin. Its only been three days and already it is scabbed 3 inches thick it seem because I cant put ANYTHING on it withouit it pussing.It is not infected but severely overworked! The tattoo is on my collarbone just to the left of my neck and I have 30% of my body covered by the same artist so I know he didn't do it on purpose but I guess this type of thing happens when youre tattooed. It is cracking everywhre so bad that it bleeds and there is still clearish fluid comin out when it does. I havent been able to leave the house because I cant even put a shirt on. Is there anyone,Taz? out there that can help me?

Yeah !have no fear I am here!....My friend if you have scabs and are leaking pus you need to run...don't walk ...RUN to the nearest emergency room...If it is as bad as you are saying you have a very serious infection..AND it probably was not from your artist.....considering the other work he did on you the odds are that you contracted some nasssssty little bugs somewhere. In the area in question it is VERY imprtant to seek medical attention NOW! The infection is very close to major venous and arterial systems and could quickley transmogrify into the brain and/or go systemic and you could die. I do not want to be an alarmist but I have seen people get very ill from a simple infection just because it was neglected. A very good friend of mine actually died from an infection on the back of his shoulder that turned septic and followed the blood vessels into his brain. Taz, I am on this site nonstop and you are fucking hilarious! Some of the shit you say cracks me up. Anyway, maybe it sounds worse than it really is. It is just soooooo overworked it feels like I got my ass kicked by a bunch of nazis! I had this happen 2years ago and it ended up "dry healing" but the whole process sucked ass! Everynow and then when I get tattooed I puss just a little bit during healing but its always just real quick which I think is normal sometimes depending on the area, So they say. I'm just wondering if the skin is suffacating underneath and is pushing out trying to get air. What do ya think bro? And don't worry bro, I just can't get a shirt on because it's so dry and sore I can't lift my arms to get it on. If you have ANY secret remedies that you can offer bro, please let me know boss. I do appreciate the concern and promptness of hollerin' back to me though man, you're awesome! Should I put anything on this disaster or just let it dry and heal? Like I said, my artist is a good artist and feels terrible and has no problem fixin' em' when they heal(if they ever do)so whatcha think? By the way, checks in the mail, doc! ha ha

well taz is correct on the infection sounds like a secondary infection to me and antibiotics may be in order but if you wish not to see a doc then this may help some. take a shower hot hot as ya can stand and let the water hit that tattoo area. by doing such you are opening the pores and flushing out the dirt and scab (dried blood) the collar bone area is thin skin unlike say the arm. wash the area thourghly with mild soap and rinse well dont over do it about 5 minutes tops with that hot water.if you havent already change bed linen and wash the sheets make sure your water gets to at least to 180 degrees that will help kill those nasty bugs.while your in the shower roll your shoulder and arm around as far as possibile get new blood flow going in that area.i dont recomened dry heal try a&d for a day or 2 if that dosent work then dry heal may be the way to go yeah it sucks and it hurts but that may be the best.the clear fluid seeping is known as subcutanieious fluid and seepage of said fluid after tattoo work is performed is very common.keep it clean .best of luck keep us posted and by the way this consultation is a freebie but the next one will cost you soooooooooooooo much your grand kids will be paying on the bill. The only problem with a&d is that being a petroleum based product it can actually seal the infection IN.if it is indeed a secondary infection.There is a product called dimapro that is hard to find...it has pretty much the same ingredients as a&d but is in a light mineral oil base therefore avoiding sealing the infection in. If the exudate (liquid ) coming out of your tattoo is clear and watery it probably is only subcutaneous fluid which is released when skin cells are ruptuered say oh I dunno ..in a tattoo.However...if the wound is seeping a thicker yellowish or greenish fluid (pus) that is your bodys' way of tellin ya "hey fucker there is someting VERY wrong here so get me to a doctor or look in the yellow pages under AMPUTATIONS R US!...or maybe RETAIL CHAINSAW BOUTIQUES! Hey by the way, if there is bloody green jello like stuff leakin outta my ears does that mean I am using the q-tips too agressively or could it be serious?...Uhhh no...its not me... my grammaw wants to know! Nnyway, pus and seepage has stopped(thank fucking god!) and finally alast i can put something on it. Weird shit, healing crazy, but finally starting to pull away from the outlines and it looks like I still got some decent color underneath but who knows bros,I still got some HARD and HEAVY scabs so I'm keeping my figers and legs crossed! I'm sure I'll need some touch up work but I could give a shit anymore, I just wanna be able to sleep comfortably and be able to lift my arms past my head! Pain is subsided 100% and is getting better so It might heal totally in a year or so.ha ha. I've been putting vitamin e oil to help it along and swithing on and off with a good lotion I found at a natural health market that basically is the same as tattoo go with same ingredients but is a cream rather than bees wax, waddya think about that my brothers in ink? Good to hear from ya again and get back to if ya got any other suggestions. Take care.

Thanks for the props man At this point, if it's still that scabby, I'd lay off of putting the oil into it, you're just aggrivating the damaged skin cells by creating more trauma via rubbing in a new substance. I can't say if this will work for you or not, but a tattoo I got a few years ago did the same thing from being entirely overworked and the best thing I did was I left it alone and dry healed it. It really seemed to help me, but as mentioned, I can't guarantee that will work for you. Good Luck man!

This is the last thing I wanna read two days before getting my first tattoo but what do you mean by over worked? Did you have alot done and how long did it take? Why do you think it happend to you since you already have tattoos? Is it all about keeping it clean or can shit still happen no matter how clean you try to keep it in the first few weeks? I really want a tattoo but i don't want to die from it like that guys friend did. I'd rather take the picture of the tattoo, frame it and hang it on my wall instead.

Doint worry sweets, it happenns every now and then. Dont let this story freak you out because getting tattooed is a very beutiful thing! By being overworked I mean putting to many different colors in a small area, going over it and over and over. lots of hard dry wiping doesnt help either. the skin can only take so much trauma before ot just says fuck it! I have two full sleeves and a backsuit and out of all those i've only had it happen twice, this being the worse. People all heal differently, so dont worry. just keep it clean and dont over do it with dumb shit like lotions and ointments and you will be fine. Let us know how your sitting goes.

I'm peeling finally and The colors are still nice and bright on one side but the other split and cracked in so many spots I don't think theres much hope for it. definitely gonna need some touch up.
