I got a new tattoo on my wrist. I have wanted a white ink one for two years and I let the tattoo people talk me out of getting white and got a pretty blue. I like it but I still wish I would have just gotten it in white like I wanted.
Can white ink cover a light blue?

The reason why a white tattoo would NOT be advisable is because very few (and I do mean FEW) people can actually get white ink and keep it actually looking white.
Think about it- the colors of all tattoos settle in deeper over time, hence the fuzzy lines, the blacks turning 'geenish", etc...white turns either invisible, a darker off color, or even yellow.
your melanin (what gives your skin color) affects how and what colors look good in your skin- that is why even if you are causcasian white can look dingy yellow because it is the underlying color of your skin.
I have turned people away that wanted all white tattoos for the same reason-and it is a good tattoo artist that does that, because an unscruplous one would have taken your money and just say 'good luck"
Your artist was on target to refuse and no you cannot cover a blue tattoo with white.
