Hey guys, my name is Mike and i am in every way an aspiring artist and tattooist. I am currently enroled in a Graphic Design course at our local community college, along with shooting for a degree in Business Managment. I have a very strong personality, open mind, and great determination to make it out there as an excellent tattoo artist. I've always been an artist with a creative mindset, and most of my work is considered Concept Art. I have many books from Lee Hammond as well, who has taught me to be a very good portrait artist and helped me the most with drawing hands... As of now, i run a pretty solid business out of my basement which i've pretty much turned into a full studio. I have thousands of dollars worth of equipment, including and ultrasonic cleaner and a stovetop autoclave. Mostly i work with disposable parts that i open in front of my clients and toss away in biohazard bags when i'm finished. I've done everything from small butterflys, to portraits and sleeve work... all from watching videos on youtube and getting plenty of practice on fake skins, grapefruits and bananas. My portfolio has amazed more than a few professional tattoo artists in the area, but i'm finding it hard to get into a shop that i can really be proud of working under. I've read all the feedback on your page, and i really respect how you guys have taken the time to write a response for these other aspiring artists. My goal would be to be a complete freelance artist, as i'm very good in any medium. One day i would like to own a shop that not only specializes in body art and modification, but airbrushing cars and motorcycles as well. I have a lot to offer the industry, including faithful clientelle, and i would love the chance to prove myself in a well respected, well renowned shop. Please contact me with any tips or advice, as i am all ears and forever determined. I have tons of photos posted on facebook that i could easily transfer and send to you if you give me an email...., Respectfully, Mike Ashe
