I spent some time thinking and time in drawing out my own tattoo that i would put on my wrist. I had been told it was a painful place to get a tattoo. Well today i got mine done and i have to say it was a breeze. There was little to no pain at all involved with the tattoo. So for those who were asking.........if you want to do it go for it and have a blast.,
My next Tattoo is the one that Angelia Jolie has on her back that is the long sandscript. And i am getting the key of greece on my other arm finished. We ran out of time and i want to get it finished before i get the sandscript tattoo done.
Enjoy the tattoos

I was thinking about getting a tatto on my wrist of the OM symbol. How big was your tattoo?? I'm fourteen now but in two years my cousin is going to sign for me to get a tattoo. So you saw it doesn't hurt that much?
I got a small tattoo on my wrist earlier this week. Previously I had only been tattooed once on my shoulder so I was concerned that the wrist would be, alot more painful and possibly risky because I'm a girl with skinny wirsts. Veins, tendons, you know. It did hurt more (I never believe people when they say a tat didn't hurt at all) but it was far from intolerable. So long as you find a good artist it should go fine.
OHM! If you can't spell it you probably don't know what it means and you shouldn't get it. And what state do you live in where your "cousin" can sign for you, unless your cousin is your parent to?

And in 2 years when your cousin illegally signs for you, you will most likely have changed your mind on about 20 different designs so I hope you use your head and wait until you're an adult when it comes to tattoos. Also, if a shop is willing to break the law and tattoo a minor just to make $50 or $60 bucks and risk losing their license (if they havent already), who knows what other laws they're willing to break such as not using a properly working sterilizer (it takes more than the little arrows on the bag to turn color for it to be working correctly) and re-using needles and then repackaging them.
Just saying, there are states that allow written permission from a minor's parent or legal guardian.
And also, "OHM" can be spelled different ways.
Aum, Om, or Ohm, and of course, by writing the symbol. Obviously, someone doesn't know what THEY are talking about.
Ohm is a technical electronic term and has nothing whatsoever to do with the symbol .OM..do YOUR homework before being pissy!
And yes there are states that allow parental consent but...oh look!...the post said NOTHING about parental consent...it said the person was gonna have the COUSIN sign and a cousin isn't a parent.
You need to concentrate on correcting yourself, not others!
Just jumping in on the spelling :)
Its Sanskrit.
Why get Angelina Jolies tat though?
Why not get something along the same vein, but all your own?
Oh yeah I forgot about the "sanskrit" boo boo!...People who live in glass houses........
hey i got 3 identical tats on each of my wrists (start of a sleeve idea forr both arms)... anywho, if you go to my site to view them, you'll see which one i'm talking about that hurt the most. http://www.angelfire.com/crazy/tatz/
i got the middle one first, the big one.. i have to say it didn't hurt that bad at first, just the inners stung a bit.... as with anything inner is gonna sting cuase of the nerves there.. then i got the ones nearest my hand 2nd (the 1st rope)... again inners stung but not as much... but the only thing that felt painful was when he tat'd right on my wrist bone...(the lil bump on your wrist before your hand starts)... that part... that was painful... and then the 3rd rope i got, basically felt nothing... inners didn't even sting that much... but if you go wrist tats, it's not that bad... tops just burn a lil, and the inners sting... but getting tats on your stomach is way worse then getting anything on your wrists (inner included)...
if i had to pick the most painful place to get a tat (of all the places i've gotten tatted up that is), i'd have to say it's the stomach (upper over the belly button)... i would like to go below my belly button and get a tat down there, but not sure what i want there right now... plus the pain of that spot.. oh, i'll go for it eventually, but i got to be ready to really take that pain... that stomach area is PAIN, oh boy, pain... the 2nd painful spot i ever felt is top center middle of my back w/ my godsmack sun cuase of his blending.... i got the backside of my neck tatted too, and yeh that hurt as well, but not too much cuase it was mostly alot of pressure... like i said, it's stomach to me most painful...
but wrists ain't nothing compared to what i listed... i'm leery of continuing my sleeves though cuase of my inner arms... that's gonna hurt.. it's tender there...am seriously rethinking it.
HI peeps!
I am getting a ohm/aum symbol tatted on my wrist today,I already have one on my back(the standerd sign),But the one im getting on my wrist today is of"the Ganesha ohm/aum."What it means to me,And what i learned from"The school of metaphysics"here in OKC, is that it is "The vibration of all creation"Wich to me is god,Hindu religion beleive it connects you to all of the gods, sun god, mother nature,ect..I am a strong beleiver that these symbols are streangth and love.WHAT does the symbol mean to you??And no your "cousin" cant do that,He would probley go to jail if he got caught..So you should probley re-think this idea you have.
But ive heard the wrist is painful,But im not too worried,As i will be jammin to "Tool" EXTRA loud!! And it probley sounds stupid but ,Tool music can get me throughh anything,I guess i consider them my bandaid. It pumps me up and it excites me.Im sure everyone has a certain artist that gets them thru lifes bumpy roads. For me its "TOOL" Baby!!
If this tatt seriously hurts,I will post my experience today on here.

Hey!!! I really want my inner wrist tattoo of the chinese symbol wich means "tranquility". Although chinese symbols are not very unique; this one will have great meaning to me...It will have a lot to do with my hardships dealing with suicide. I want to make sure that I have some symbol that shows what I have been through, being that I am placing it where i used to cut...but also showing that I have made it through and now have peace. I hope it doesn't hurt terribly but hey I've been through worse!!!
haha and no one pay attention to how I spelled "which" wrong. Maybe I should pay more attention next time.
to the person up there saying they are going to get the same Sanskrit tatttoo that Angelina Jolie has...
you know that it is a tattoo of the location where she adopted one of her children dont you?
if you cannot come up with your own original ideas, you shouldnt be allowed to have tattoos... not to be an elitist, but i hate watching stupid kids follow trends like this, and put other peoples artwork on their bodies.
Angelina also had it done in the traditional "tap" method, which a lot of people feel is the only proper way to have sacred sanskrit tattooed. its considered an insult to the tradition to have it done the modern way...
i just got my first tattoo today, it was the chinese symbol for love and it is on my wrist. i was really nervous and expected the pain to be high. but it ended up not hurting at all, i was really surprised. so i would reccommend it for sure.
the first tattoo i got was on my wrist and the pain ov that was minor.. more irratating thatn anything... my back the that realy hurt across both sholder and down my spine the most painfully as yet
Hey Guys! I just got my first tattoo yesterday, and it is on my wrist. I have a pretty bony wrist, so at times it hurt a bit. I am really happy with it, though. I had my son's birthday tattooed on my wrist, but it is in roman numerals instead of regular numbers. I represents a lot more than just a date to me...but, I guess that is beyond the point.
I always find it so comical when people say that their tattoo didn't hurt. To the first time tattoo recipient: yes! Tattoos do hurt. Is it unbearable? No. It is tolerable, and you will be fine. But please, don't go into it thinking that it is going to be painless, because that is just completely unrealistic. Of course, I realize that everyone has different pain thresholds, but I went through natural childbirth, so I think I can say that I am not a wimp. I guess what I am trying to say is, go into the process with a positive attitude, and make sure that you are getting a tattoo because you want it, and not because you think it's the trendy thing to do, or because someone else in your life is encouraging it. Get something that makes you happy. Getting tattooed is a great experience, but don't expect it to be painless...after all, it is a group of needless constantly piercing your skin. Peace and love!
Just read my post...sorry for the errors...I promise that I am not illiterate.
I had to post something in response to "Newbie" who said, "I always find it so comical when people say that their tattoo didn't hurt."
I have 2 tattoos. 1 on my wrist and 1 on my neck that goes to the middle of my upper back on my spine.
My wrist did not hurt at first. After a while, it hurt a lot! Especially where it bends.
My neck/mid-upper back tattoo DID NOT HURT AT ALL. In fact, at certain points, I could feel the artist's hand resting on my back, but I could not feel the needle. Most times I just felt a vibration that felt like a great massage. I would honestly pay to get that massage if I could get it without another tat.
AND THAT IS THE GOSPEL TRUTH.
